Anti-gun legislators in Illinois have peddled the same radical, broken policies for decades: criminalizing your private transfers, denying carry permits to law-abiding citizens, banning commonly-owned firearms, establishing arbitrary “safe zones” in which only the criminals can defend themselves, etc. Every time these “safety” measures are repackaged for sale by control-hungry politicians, 2 things suffer: your safety and your freedom. Meanwhile, because such restrictions are meaningless to them, the violent criminals and politicians rejoice.
Defend yourself by reminding these politicians that you are a law-abiding voter who expects Illinois legislators to protect the right of self-defense instead of chipping away at it.
