Virginia: Gun Ban Vote Tomorrow

After ramming their gun ban through committee on Friday morning with very little time for public testimony or committee discussion, Bloomberg’s anti-gun cronies are speeding ahead to bring House Bill 961 to Governor Northam’s desk. The House of Delegates is holding second reading today and third reading (final floor vote) tomorrow, February 11^th. They are determined to pass the crown jewel of the Northam-Bloomberg gun ban agenda with as little debate as possible, hoping that lawmakers do not consider that this egregious bill threatens law-abiding citizens like you with felonies.

The Committee Substitute for House Bill 961 is a comprehensive ban on many commonly-owned semi-automatic firearms, suppressors, and standard capacity magazines. Though the committee amended the bill to allow citizens to keep currently owned firearms and suppressors, confiscation is undoubtedly still the end goal. There is no option for citizens to keep their lawfully acquired magazines with capacities greater than twelve rounds, forcing millions of Virginians to dispose of their property, become a felon, or surrender them to the government.
