On Wednesday, February 26th, the House Public Safety, Finance, and Policy Committee will have a hearing on several firearm-related bills, including HF13, improving self-defense laws and HF 284 allowing valid Minnesota issued concealed carry permits to serve as an alternative to a background check when purchasing firearms through a licensed dealer.
Please contact members of the committee directly by using the TAKE ACTION button below and urge them to SUPPORT HF13 and HF284!
HF13 improves self-defense laws in Minnesota by eliminating the "duty to retreat" requirement before exercising the right to defend yourself or others.
HF284 makes changes to Minnesota concealed carry permits to align the requirements with federal standards to allow the permits to serve as an alternative to the required background check when purchasing firearms through a licensed dealer.
