Second Amendment supporters in Smithfield, Rhode Island, are working to bring a resolution before the Town Council opposing the unconstitutional assault weapons ban (AWB) currently pending in the General Assembly. With 13 cities and towns across the Ocean State already having passed similar resolutions—and several more in the process—Smithfield can join the growing list of municipalities standing up for the rights of law-abiding gun owners.
Please contact the Smithfield Town Council before Friday, May 23rd and respectfully urge them to allow the resolution opposing the AWB to be brought to the floor for a vote at the June 3rd meeting.
