On Thursday, May 29th, the Senate passed Senate Bill 243, the gun-control omnibus package. It has been forwarded to the House and is pending committee assignment.
SB 243 is an omnibus gun-control bill that includes elements of other anti-gun bills including SB 696, creating the crime of unlawful transport, manufacture, or transfer of a "rapid-fire activator" and SB 698, expanding gun-free zones by allowing public entities to adopt policies that prohibit firearms, even for concealed handgun license holders.
