Indiana: Governor Signs Legislation to Protect Shooting Ranges and Gun Stores

Today, Governor Holcomb signed SB 176 into law. This bill strengthens protections for shooting ranges and gun stores by prohibiting counties, cities, and towns from adopting zoning, land-use, or permitting requirements that are more restrictive than state law. NRA would like to thank Governor Holcomb, the bill's sponsors Sen. Tomes and Rep. Smaltz, and all NRA-members and supporters who engaged with their legislators to see this important range protection bill become law.

Your NRA will be back in Indianapolis for the 2027 legislative session.
