At the stroke of midnight, May 7th, the Connecticut legislature adjourned from the 2026 legislative session. As recently reported, H5043, banning the future manufacture, sale, and importation of many commonly owned handguns in Connecticut while also putting new restrictions on unfinished frames and receivers, passed the legislature and will soon be transmitted to the Governor.
Governor Lamont will have 15 days from the day H5043 is formally placed on his desk to act on this legislation. Use the take action button below to contact the Governor and urge his veto of H5043!
NRA will return to Hartford for the 2027 session. Please stay tuned to the NRA-ILA website and your inbox for future updates.
