SPECIAL ALERT

Support Gale Norton

Please contact your U.S. Senators today and urge them to support President-elect George W. Bush`s nomination for Secretary of the Interior—Gale Norton. Throughout her career, which includes two terms as Colorado`s Attorney General, Norton has supported the interests of hunters and law-abiding firearm owners, and now is the time to come to her aid. She is under heavy fire by radical "environmentalist" groups, as well as other groups that are not known for being involved with environmental issues, such as the NAACP and the AFL-CIO. What does unite these groups is that most of them did everything they could last year to defeat President-elect Bush on November 7. Many look at the campaign to oppose Gale Norton`s confirmation by the U.S. Senate as nothing more than another attack on Bush by supporters of Al Gore. Norton`s nomination hearing before the Senate is scheduled for Thursday, January 18, and a vote by the Senate will come shortly thereafter. It is critical that you call, write, fax, and e-mail your U.S. Senators today both in their D.C. and closest local offices and urge them to support and vote for confirmation of Gale Norton as Secretary of the Interior. You can find contact information for your U.S. Senators by using the "Write Your Reps" tool at www.NRAILA.org.
