The Senate Judiciary Committee voted 7-1 to approve SB 1901, legislation making Tennessee one of over 30 states that currently allow handgun permit holders to carry their self-defense firearms in restaurants and other establishments that sell alcohol. The full Senate moved quickly to pass the bill by an overwhelming vote of 29-3. The companion House bill is HB 2225.
