HB 3298, introduced by State Representative Bakari Sellers (D-90), would remove the restriction on transporting a handgun under the seat of your vehicle, which would allow a law-abiding gun owner to treat the area under his or her car seat similar to what current law allows regarding transporting a firearm in a closed glove compartment or console.
