Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife to Hold Public Meetings on Big Game Regulations

This May, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) will hold several public meetings throughout the state to discuss big game hunting regulations.  The purpose of these meetings is to “provide information about big game herd health and numbers, propose the number of controlled big game hunting tags to issue this fall and review concepts for any 2012 big game regulation changes.”

It is important that our members make their voices heard and participate in this process.  Meeting information is provided below.  If you wish to submit written comments you can mail them to ODFW Wildlife Division, 3406 Cherry Avenue NE, Salem, OR 97303 or send via e-mail to [email protected].

Also, if you wish to testify in person regarding these regulations and other wildlife issues, you can do so at the regular commission meetings; the meeting schedule can be found here.  Guidelines for testifying can be found here.
