Colorado: Greenwood City Council Moves to Restrict Free Enterprise!

Next week, the Greenwood Village City Council will vote on the final passage of Ordinance 07-22, which will infringe on your Second Amendment rights by prohibiting firearm sales from home businesses. Your chance to express your opposition to this anti-gun ordinance is Monday, July 11th, at 7:00 pm, during the public hearing period for Ordinance 07-22. The public hearing will take place at 6060 S. Quebec Street, Greenwood Village, CO 80111.

Last year, Colorado became one of the few states in which the state legislature does not have the sole authority to regulate firearms, which has enabled Colorado’s counties and municipalities to pass a patchwork of confusing and conflicting local laws throughout the state. Ordinance 07-22 is a perfect example; banning firearm sales from home businesses in one area versus another does nothing to help public safety. Instead, it is a discriminatory proposal that only inhibits law-abiding citizens’ free enterprise. This is a solution in search of a problem.

Please mark your calendar and forward this to your friends, family, and Second Amendment supporters, urging them to attend the hearing on July 11th, to oppose Ordinance 07-22. Click here for the agenda and more information. If you cannot attend, please submit a written testimony opposing Ordinance 07-22 by contacting Susan Ortiz, Greenwood Village City Clerk at [email protected].
