Last night, the Georgia Legislature adjourned sine die from its 2024 legislative session. This session, the legislature passed House Bill 1018, which prohibits the use of firearm/ammunition specific merchant category codes by payment processors. This is an important protection for gun owners, protecting private purchasing information from abuse by third parties. This legislation is now on Governor Kemp's desk awaiting his signature.
