Louisiana: Pro-Gun Bill Passes the Senate

Tuesday, April 29, 2025

Yesterday, the Senate voted 28-11 to pass Senate Bill 101, pro-gun legislation expanding our Second Amendment rights in Louisiana. SB 101 now heads to the House for further consideration.

Senate Bill 101, authored by Sen. Blake Miguez, ensures constitutional carriers and out-of-state concealed carry permit holders who have reciprocity with Louisiana can carry firearms in more areas across the state by eliminating some gun-free zones.
