An A+ Candidate—NRA-PVF’s Highest Possible Rating

Fairfax, VA—The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is pleased to announce its endorsement of Attorney General Thurbert E. Baker for re-election in the State of Georgia.

“The NRA is committed to preserving the freedom guaranteed law-abiding citizens under the Second Amendment,” declared Chris W. Cox, Chairman of NRA-PVF. “Thurbert E. Baker is a stalwart protector of our right to keep and bear arms, and we are proud to endorse him for another term.”

As Georgia’s Attorney General, Thurbert Baker defended lawful shooting range owners faced with malicious injunctions against their businesses. Attorney General Baker also fought against politically motivated lawsuits designed to bankrupt the lawful American gun industry and led statewide efforts to pass one of the country’s first state laws preventing such predatory suits against law-abiding gun manufacturers.

Attorney General Baker has also played a significant role in supporting the Second Amendment at the national level. In 2002, Thurbert Baker worked with the attorneys general of seventeen states to proclaim solidarity with the affirmation by the U.S. Department of Justice that “the text and the original intent of the Second amendment clearly protect the right of individuals to keep and bear firearms.”

Attorney General Thurbert Baker’s steadfast, pro-gun record has earned him an endorsement and “A+”, the highest possible rating granted by NRA-PVF.

“Attorney General Baker is a national leader on matters affecting the pro-gun community and his expertise is beyond value for law-abiding gun owners in Georgia,” concluded Cox. “We urge all NRA members and gun owners in Georgia to vote for Thurbert Baker on November 7.”
