A 50-year-old woman was at home in Flint, Mich., when a criminal attempted to break in through a window. The woman retrieved a gun and warned the intruder that she was armed. Undeterred, the criminal continued into the house, at which point the woman shot him, ending the home invasion. Once police arrived, the intruder was taken to a local hospital; he is listed in critical condition. Multiple neighbors told the local media of their support for the armed woman, with one saying, “She's doing what she had to do to protect herself. She's a great lady. She don't nothing wrong to nobody, one of the best neighbors you could want. They break into her house in the middle of the day, what's she supposed to do?”
