Sioux City Mayor Bob Scott is among a growing number of city leaders across the nation pulling out of a group call Mayors Against Illegal Guns.
The group, spearheaded by New York City Michael Bloomberg and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, has been an active advocate for gun control measures.
Scott, who joined the group after taking office last year, said he unsubscribed because their political views have exceeded his. Scott said he left about five months ago.
