Jennifer Bradley (R), providing that owners may not be subject to liability if they are generating certain revenues and those revenues are used exclusively for specified purposes; expanding the applicability of the limitation of liability for persons who provide areas to the public for outdoor recreational purposes without charge, etc.  On Thursday, 4/1/2021, SB-920 PASSED the full Senate by a unanimous vote.

SB-1884,  Preemption of Firearms & Ammunition by Sen. Ray Rodrigues (R), stops local governments and state agencies who willfully violate the firearms preemption law from forcing people to sue them over violations then withdrawing illegal ordinances or regulations once suit is filed in order to make the lawsuit moot.  Local Governments do this intentionally to avoid the law that makes them pay damages and attorney fees when sued to protect citizen rights. HM-1301, Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States by Reps. Jason Shoaf (R) and Cord Byrd (R), expresses the consensus of the Florida Legislature that the President's proposals to restrict the right to keep and bear arms of law-abiding citizens violates the Constitution; provides Florida Legislature, on behalf of the residents of this state, intends to use all of its lawful authority and power to resist or overturn any federal gun-control measure that violates the right of Florida residents to keep and bear arms.  On Tuesday, 3/29/2021, HM-1301 PASSED the House Public Integrity & Elections Committee by a vote of 4 to 6.

HB-945,Emergency Management Powers of Political Subdivisions by Rep. Bob Rommel (R), provides applicability for significant emergency orders; provides legislative intent; specifies requirements for purpose & scope of significant emergency orders; provides for automatic expiration of significant emergency orders; authorizes extension of significant emergency orders for specified duration; prohibits issuance of certain significant emergency orders. On Thursday, 4/1/2021, HB-1409 PASSED the House Local Administrative & Veterans Affairs Committee by a vote of 11 to 5.

HB-1409, Preemption of Firearms & Ammunition by Rep. Cord Byrd (R), stops local governments and state agencies who willfully violate the firearms preemption law from forcing people to sue them over violations then withdrawing illegal ordinances or regulations once suit is filed in order to make the lawsuit moot.  Local Governments do this intentionally to avoid the law that makes them pay damages and attorney fees when sued to protect citizen rights.  On Thursday, 4/1/2021, HB-1409 PASSED the House Local Administrative & Veterans Affairs Committee by a vote of 10 to 5.
