Gun Ban to Remain in Effect as Texas Fair Opens Today

Dear NRA Member:

This week, the 15th Court of Appeals and the Texas Supreme Court upheld the firearms prohibition in Fair Park, site of the Texas State Fair which opens today. This misguided gun ban will undoubtedly result in legislation being filed during the 2025 session to protect law-abiding Texans' Second Amendment rights. Bill prefiling for the 89TH Regular Session begins on Monday, November 11.

Attorney General Ken Paxton issued this statement today on the matter.
