Another Way to Get Involved--Join NRA's Facebook and Twitter

Friday, April 27, 2012

Online social networking has exploded in recent years, and websites such as Facebook and Twitter have attracted millions of users.  This online community fosters a connection between its users and allows distribution of user-generated content such as pictures, profiles, music, videos, and text.

NRA has a presence on various social networking sites, including Facebook and Twitter.  Through these outlets we are able to reach more potential members and supporters than ever before!

NRA's Facebook page continues to be extremely popular.  In fact, thanks to you, our page has grown from about 300,000 fans on July 28, 2010 to over 1,466,000 fans as of this week!

If you haven't already, be sure to "like" the NRA on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/National-Rifle-Association.  If you have already "liked" us, please ask your friends to do the same!

Twitter is a micro-blogging service that allows users to send text updates (known as "tweets") to "followers" who have subscribed to them.  To sign up to receive NRA "tweets," please visit http://twitter.com/NRA and "follow" @NRA.

With this year's critically important elections just around the corner, you can also receive timely election and endorsement messages and instant updates from NRA's Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) by visiting http://twitter.com/nrapvf and "following" @NRAPVF.  For additional voting and election updates and information, you may also visit the official NRA-PVF site at www.nrapvf.org

In order to actively reach and recruit the future leaders of the pro-gun movement, we must take full advantage of these online social networking resources.  Please consider getting involved today!
