Urgent! New Jersey Anti-Gunners Pushing One-A-Gun-Month in the State Assembly!
Please Contact the Assembly Law & Public Safety Committee Members Today!

Please immediately email, call or fax the Members of the New Jersey Assembly Law and Public Safety Committee to voice your opposition to A-3511, which would criminalize the purchase of more than one handgun per month by honest citizens.  The bill is scheduled for a public hearing before the Committee on Thursday, February 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the State House Annex, West State Street, Trenton, NJ, Committee Room 12 on the 4th Floor.  Please attend the hearing if you can.

Following the embarrassing defeat of Jersey City’s one gun a month handgun rationing scheme in New Jersey Superior Court in December, frustrated anti-gun lawmakers have turned their attention to State law in an attempt to legislate away the impact of the Court’s decision.

The bill’s supposed purpose is to reduce crime, yet it wildly misses the mark by rationing guns to citizens who have been pre-certified by the State as non-criminals after undergoing extensive criminal and mental health background checks.  The false premise underlying the bill is that honest gun owners are the cause of crime.

Rationing guns to law-abiding citizens to reduce crime is meaningless and will have no effect on crime.   In fact, the New Jersey Superior Court ruled in December that similar legislation was “arbitrary and capricious,” and not rationally related to its intended purpose.

Please urge these Members of the Assembly Law and Public Safety Committee to vote NO on A-3511:
