California: New Local Sports Store Harassed for Supporting Second Amendment

Templar Sports Store Needs your Help - Attend Tomorrow’s Town Council Meeting

Tomorrow, the Los Gatos Town Council will be meeting to hear public comment on whether they should impose further restrictions on stores that legally sell firearms.  The topic of this meeting is due to some unsubstantiated concerns that Templar Sports Store will have safety and security issues to the surrounding neighborhood.   Please attend this important meeting that will be held tomorrow at 7:00 pm at the Los Gatos Council Chambers at 110 East Main Street in Los Gatos.

According to a statement issued by Town Manager Greg Larson on December 8, 2012, Templar Sports has completed and paid all the necessary paperwork and fees to open for business.  The Town Police Department has also received all required federal permit applications and notices required for the sale of firearms at this location.  This store has completed everything required by federal and California law to be able to sell firearms legally in California.

Templar Sports is not taking safety and security lightly.  This store is offering firearm safety clinics for individuals and families.  According to statements made by Jonathan Knowles, a longtime community advocate who is acting as an adviser to Templar Sports in the Los Gatos Patch, "The entire Templar Sports staff is made up of highly experienced professionals. The management and ownership team includes an active law enforcement officer with 16 years of experience who also has 24 years of service with the Air National Guard, and a business executive with over 24 years of management, sales, and loss prevention experience with some of the most successful sporting goods companies in North America."

Remember, violent and insane criminals -- by definition -- violate laws, especially gun control laws.  They neither obey gun bans nor register their firearms and absolutely do not comply with any gun control schemes whatsoever.  As a result, innocent law-abiding citizens are the only ones who pay the price and are left defenseless and made victims or criminals.

If you are unable to attend, please call AND e-mail the Mayor, Town Manager and Town Council members urging them to support Templar Sports and the right of law-abiding citizens to exercise their Second Amendment rights.  The town officials can be reached at (408) 354-6832 and e-mail addresses for the Mayor, Town Manager and Town Council members are provided below:
