Utah: Pro-Gun Bill Passes House, Advances to Senate

On Tuesday, February 4th, House Bill 133 (HB 133) passed the House by a vote of 56 to 13. HB 133 is a recodification of Utah’s existing firearm laws. HB 133 has now been transmitted to the Senate Rules Committee where it awaits a subsequent committee referral.

House Bill 133, sponsored by Representative Karianne Lisonbee, is a recodification of Utah’s existing firearm laws. This legislation makes Utah’s current gun laws easier to read and understand while making several clarifying policy changes to ensure the protection of Second Amendment rights for all of Utah’s law-abiding gun owners.
