Virginia: Gun Ban Bill Up Tomorrow!

Virginia: Gun Ban Bill Up Tomorrow!

Less than 24 hours before the hearing, the House Public Safety Committee announced that they WILL be hearing House Bill 961 that outlaws millions of semi-automatic firearms. This is the crown jewel in the Northam-Bloomberg gun ban agenda. Make no mistake, millions of Virginians will become felons if they refuse to turn over their guns or register them with the government.

Second Amendment supporters have remained engaged throughout session and we need you tomorrow more than ever. Join us tomorrow, February 7th, in Richmond to show the Public Safety Committee that we will stand and fight for our freedom.

February 7, 2020, starting 8:00AM
General Assembly Building, House Room 1
900 E Main St.
Richmond, VA 23219

Please wear your blue NRA t-shirt, and if you do not have one, NRA staff will be on site to hand out more.

House Bill 961 is similar to Senate Bill 16 that was withdrawn on January 13th. It is a comprehensive ban on many commonly-owned semi-automatic firearms, suppressors, and standard capacity magazines. The ban also extends to any part that could be used to change a firearm into a banned configuration. The bill also imposes a licensing and registration scheme for citizens who wish to keep affected firearms they lawfully owned prior to the ban. Not only does this force law-abiding citizens to pay a government tax to keep their own property, it creates a pathway for confiscation. Confiscation is undoubtedly the end goal of Michael Bloomberg when he bought the Virginia Governor, Ralph Northam.

There is no option for citizens to keep their lawfully acquired suppressors and magazines with capacities greater than ten rounds, forcing them to dispose of their property, become a felon, or surrender it to the government.

Join your fellow Second Amendment supporters in Richmond on February 7th. In addition, please call the below committee members and urge them to OPPOSE HB 961.
